If you or a loved one has been affected by cancer, and you want to make a difference, Friends of Hope Lodge offers a meaningful way to give back and provide comfort and community.

The American Cancer Society is thrilled to introduce a new volunteer opportunity at the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge in Houston called Friends of Hope Lodge. Located at 6801 Ardmore Street in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, Hope Lodge Houston serves as a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers who need to travel to the city for treatment.

Friends of Hope Lodge is a group of dedicated volunteers who generously donate their time and resources to enhance the lives of Hope Lodge guests. They organize various activities and services to create a supportive and uplifting environment, bringing comfort and camaraderie to those staying at Hope Lodge Houston.

One of the ways Friends of Hope Lodge supports the community is by coordinating events and providing nourishing meals, offering a reprieve from the challenges of cancer treatment. Additionally, the American Cancer Society Cattle Baron’s Ball, taking place on September 14th at Hilton-Americas in downtown Houston, will have a special donation opportunity benefiting Hope Lodge Houston. You can purchase tickets or make a donation at cattlebaronsball.org.

This year’s Cattle Baron’s Ball will be hosted by KHOU 11 Morning News Meteorologist Chita Craft and Traffic Expert Jennifer Reyna. To join Friends of Hope Lodge, visit cancer.org/HopeLodgeHoustonGive, with membership starting at just $50.
