The Stars Shine Bright at Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony

The Paris Olympics are coming to a close with a star-studded lineup set to perform at the closing ceremony. Music icons like Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and H.E.R. are all scheduled to take the stage on Sunday as part of the handover to the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

California natives, these artists will bring a taste of LA to the global audience gathered at the Stade de France. LA28 chairperson Casey Wasserman expressed excitement about the historic moment, stating, “This is the biggest moment in LA28 history to date as the Olympic flag passes from Paris to LA. We are thrilled to feature the very best of LA with local artists.”

Aside from the stellar musical lineup, the closing ceremony will also feature performances by Grammy-winning French band Phoenix and Belgian singer Angele. Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend will also join Phoenix on stage for a special performance.

The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics saw the return of Celine Dion to the performing stage after her battle with stiff person syndrome. Los Angeles, hosting the Olympics for the third time, will also be hosting the Paralympics for the first time in 2028.

As we bid farewell to Paris, we look forward to the next chapter in Olympic history as the spotlight shifts to Los Angeles and the incredible talent that will be showcased at the 2028 Games.
