The Houston Texans clinched their first victory of the preseason in a thrilling game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, winning with a score of 20-12. The highlight of the game was C.J. Stroud’s impressive touchdown pass to Tank Dell in his preseason debut.

Stroud, the No. 2 overall pick in 2023, showcased his talent by completing 2 of 4 passes for 41 yards. He was instrumental in leading the Texans to victory, displaying the prowess that helped them secure the AFC South championship last season.

Despite facing some pressure, Stroud managed to thread a pass to Dell, who skillfully maneuvered past defenders for a 34-yard touchdown. Dell, who had an impressive 708 receiving yards before suffering a season-ending injury, proved his worth once again on the field.

On the Steelers’ side, Justin Fields made an impact, finishing 5 of 6 for 67 yards. However, the Steelers faced challenges with drives stalling due to issues like fumbled snaps and sacks.

The game also witnessed standout performances from players like Kyle Allen and Danielle Hunter. Allen led Pittsburgh’s offense, while Hunter made his presence felt with two tackles, a sack, and two quarterback pressures.

In terms of transactions, the Steelers placed Markus Golden on the reserved/retired list, while restoring RB/KR Cordarrelle Patterson to the active roster.

Moving forward, the Houston Texans will face the New York Giants next Saturday, while the Pittsburgh Steelers will host Buffalo. It will be exciting to see how these teams continue to perform as the preseason progresses.
