Should Vice President Kamala Harris Replace President Biden?

Following President Joe Biden’s lackluster performance in the first Presidential debate, there has been a growing debate among Democrats about his ability to lead the country. State Representative Ron Reynolds from Missouri City is one of those Democrats who has called for Vice President Kamala Harris to replace Biden.

As a national delegate to the Democratic National Convention, Rep. Reynolds believes that a change in leadership could energize the party and bring new life to the Democratic ticket. He acknowledges that President Biden has strong policies, but his age and performance during the debate have raised concerns among Americans.

Rep. Reynolds, who also chairs the Texas Legislative Black Caucus, described Biden’s debate performance as a “train wreck” and highlighted the need for honesty within the party. While he believes Biden could still win, Reynolds is open to the idea of replacing him at the convention if necessary.

One of the pressing questions Rep. Reynolds faces is whether President Biden should participate in a second debate. He admits to being conflicted, wanting to see Biden redeem himself but also cautious about a potential repeat performance.

Ultimately, Rep. Reynolds believes that a repeat performance would not be in the best interest of the President or the country. The Democratic party must address the concerns about Biden’s age and fitness and consider all options moving forward.
