Helping Hurricane Beryl Victims: Distribution Events in Houston
As the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl continues to impact many in the Houston area, a number of organizations are stepping up to provide much-needed assistance to those in need. With power outages persisting and essential supplies running low, distribution events are being organized to help hurricane victims get the food, water, and supplies they require.
If you or someone you know has been affected by Hurricane Beryl, here are some upcoming distribution drives in the Houston area:
Distribution drives on Saturday, July 13
Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will be hosting a drive-thru distribution event on Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will be providing food, water, and cleaning supplies to individuals and families affected by Hurricane Beryl. The event will take place at 2900 Louisiana Street in Houston.
Additionally, the Mamie George Community Center in Richmond will be open on Friday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as a cooling center for those seeking relief from the heat.
UniverSoul Circus, PepsiCo, KTSU 90.9FM
In celebration of 713 Day and in support of Hurricane Beryl victims, an event will be held offering water, ice, and Pepsi© products to those in need. The drive-through event is free and open to anyone affected by the hurricane.
WHEN: Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
WHERE: Butler Stadium at 13755 S. Main St, Houston
Other Distribution Events
Other distribution events will be hosted by Harris County Precinct 2, Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Commissioner Lesley Briones, and State Sen. Borris L. Miles. These events will provide food, water, and other essential supplies to hurricane victims in various locations across Houston.

Pct. 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones will open Radack Community Center and Bayland Community Center from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Saturday, July 20
Bread of Life
Bread of Life will host a drive-thru distribution event on Saturday, July 20, from 8 a.m. to noon. They will be providing non-perishable food items, water, hygiene products, disaster relief items, and school supplies.
